Parameters

* denotes a required field

Parameter	Explanation	Example
season*	The year of regular season play. For the 2007–08 bowl season, enter 2007 here.	2007
image	An image for the season. Follow Wikipedia guidelines.
image_caption	A caption for the image, if provided.	Descriptive text
regular_season	The dates of the first and last games of the regular season.	2007 – 2007
number_of_bowls	The total number of postseason bowls for the season.	28
all_star_games	The number of all star games for the season.	4
bowl_start	The date of the first bowl game of the season.	2007
bowl_end	The date of the last bowl played of the season	2008
championship_bowl	Name of the championship game. Likely won't be used much prior to the 1992 Bowl Coalition games.	2008 BCS Championship Game
championship_location	Name of the stadium hosting the National Championship game and the city/state where it is located. (can use
for line between stadium and city) Like the championship_bowl field, this likely won't be used much prior to the 1992 games.	Louisiana Superdome,
New Orleans, Louisiana
champions	Name of the team that won the National Championship. If it was split, say that.	LSU Tigers
bowl_challenge_cup	The conference that is the winner of the Bowl Challenge Cup (was established in 2001 according to article, so will only be used for years after that).	SEC
bowl_record_link	A wikilink to a detailed table of bowl records by conference, if such a table exists. Can be of the format #section_name if in the same article. Leave empty if no such table.	#Conference performance in bowl games
conference(1-12)	Name of a football conference. Up to 12 conference names can be listed.	ACC
conference(1-12)_teams	Number of teams representing conference number N in bowl games. (Note: recommended to list conferences based on number of teams playing in bowls, highest to lowest.)	8
conference(1-12)_wins	Number of wins in bowl games for conference number N. Do not leave blank if zero.	3
conference(1-12)_losses	Number of losses in bowl games for conference number N. Do not leave blank if zero.	4
conference(1-12)_ties	Number of ties in bowl games for conference number N. Should only be used for pre-1996 bowls (as overtime has been used since then). Leave blank unless non-zero.	1
conference(1-12)_ap_poll	Number of ranked teams in the AP poll from conference number N, based on the final AP poll of the season. Timing of the final AP poll has varied; since 1968 (and in 1965) it's after bowls are completed; else it was at the end of the regular season. Leave blank if the final AP poll hasn't been released yet.	2
Note	Optional explanatory note to be displayed after the list of conferences. Should rarely be used.	ACC and Mountain West had a no-contest

Note: Wins + Losses + Ties don't need to equal the total number of teams; this is an expected condition when a bowl season is active and not all bowl games have been played.

Example

Here is an example of one that is filled in. Only the first 11 conference numbers are filled in, but you could also have a twelfth conference if there were indeed 12 conferences to list.

Note: Generally conferences are ordered with the highest number of bowl representatives at the top and the lowest number of bowl representatives at the bottom.
